My wife picked this bike up for $10 at a garage sale yesterday. Two hours, a steel wool pad, some rags, WD-40, and some glass cleaner later, and I had it parade-ready.

There's one for sale in a nearby antique store, a three-speed Breeze with handbrakes, for $195. We went for a bike ride tonight, she on her "new" bike. I asked if somebody offered her a hundred bucks for it, would she take it...? She said she wouldn't. Not tonight.

Sure, its hanging there all limp, but its strength is in its symbolism.

Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, U.S.A. - Mr. Nathaniel Williams "Cool Breeze" was born September 16, 1941 in Savannah, GA, Chatham County. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mr. Joe Williams and one sister, Ms. Bertha Lee Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Natalie (Scott) Jameson and Rachel Williams, both of Oxford, England and one grandson, Anthony Williams, also of Oxford, England; three sisters, Sally Cross of Savannah, GA, Martha (James) Bynes of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Margaret (Willie) Thomas of Savannah, GA; three nephews, Marion (Gale) Warren of Savannah, GA, Harry S. Pierce of New York City, NY and Jessie Lee Scruggs of Atlanta, GA; five nieces, Jackie (Larry) Clayton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Gail Lafrance (Benny) Sampson of Savannah, GA, Francine (Vincent) Brown of Pooler, GA, Mary Jane (Sean) Juman of Silver Springs, MD and Lisa (Harry) Garvin of Pooler, GA; a loving and devoted friend, Betty Jean Murray ofSavannah, GA; seven great nieces and nephews; four great grand nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Nathaniel Williams, retired from the United States Air Force in 1980 after 20 years of service. He also retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service.
