Giresun-Espiye-Serender
Genellikle Orta ve Doğu Karadenizde Samsun'un Terme ilçesinden itibaren,özellikle Ordu ve Giresun'da ve diğer vilayetlerde görülen mimari bir yapıdır. Yapı dört direk üzerine oturulmuş bir çeşit odadır. Yerden yüksekliği yaklaşık 5 - 7 metredir. Yapı genellikle kare şeklinde dizayn edilmiştir ve yaklaşık 25 metrekare alana sahiptir.Yapının bölgede yüzyılı aşkın süredir kullanıldığı tahmin edilmektedir. Yapının üstü sac veya harduma adı verilen yassı olarak yontulmuş - kesilmiş tahtalarla örtülerek su geçirmesi engellenmiştir. Ancak yan bölgelerinde 20-30 santim boyunda bi buçuk iki santim genişliğinde ızgaralar bulunur. Bu ızgaraların amacı serenderin içerisine hava girmesini sağlamaktır.Genellikle yiyeceklerin saklanması ve mısır kurutma işleminin gerçekleştirilmesi için kullanılmak maksadıyla yapılmışlardır. Yerden yüksek olması ürünlerin haşerelerden ve yaban hayvanlarından korunmasını sağlar.Eski tip serenderlerin yapımı artık gerçekleştirlmemekle birlikte bölgenin turistik hale gelmesiyle serender tipinde yerden yüksek odalar yapılmış ve turistlere temalı konaklama işletmesinin ürünleri olarak sunulmaya başlanmıştır. From a recent trip to Glymur, Icelands highest waterfall 200 m.

Glymur is located in the bottom of Hvalfjördur ( Whale fjord ).
The name Hvalfjördur is from an old legend of a beast in the form of a whale.
This beast destroyed many ships on the fjord.
A priest tricked the beast up a river in the bottom of the fjord.
Up the large waterfall Glymur ( Clang ) and up to a lake Hvalvatn ( Whalelake ).
There the beast was so tired it died.

Żaglowiec zbudowany został w Stoczni Gdańskiej im. Lenina, w 1981 roku, częściowo za składki społeczne. Uroczyste podniesienie bandery odbyło się 4 lipca 1982 r. Matką chrzestną została żona wielce zasłużonego komendanta „Daru Pomorza" kpt. ż.w. Kazimierza Jurkiewicza - Helena Jurkiewicz. W 1983 r. wziął udział w zlocie żaglowców w Japonii, a rok później w kanadyjskim Tall Ships Races. W latach 1987-1988 pod dowództwem kpt. ż.w. Leszka Wiktorowicza okrążył Ziemię drogą wokół przylądka Horn. W 1992 roku uświetnił 500 rocznicę odkrycia Ameryki rejsem do USA.

Matką chrzestną została żona wielce zasłużonego komendanta „Daru Pomorza" kpt. ż.w. Kazimierza Jurkiewicza - Helena Jurkiewicz. W 1983 r. wziął udział w zlocie żaglowców w Japonii, a rok później w kanadyjskim Tall Ships Races. W latach 1987-1988 pod dowództwem kpt. ż.w. Leszka Wiktorowicza okrążył Ziemię drogą wokół przylądka Horn. W 1992 roku uświetnił 500 rocznicę odkrycia Ameryki rejsem do USA.
