I had occasion to visit the construction site of the Devils Slide Bypass tunnel, on state route 1 south of Pacifica. The tunnel entrance will be reached by a pair of curved concrete bridges. This is the west bridge, for southbound traffic. The ground below is a working ranch and habitat for various creatures, and the construction was required not to degrade it.
