I don't know exactly how old this kitten (1 of 4) is but their eyes have been open a week or so and they are just now coming out of the hidey hole mama cat brought them to next to the house after having them someplace else.

We transplanted these passionflowers from east Texas about about 20-23 years ago. We babied them the first 2 or 3 years then one winter we forgot about covering them until after the first hard frost. Thought for sure they would be gone after that but they have continued the come up year after year and have spread quite a bit. We were putting some string down the garden row to be when we spotted this squash plant. I don't know what kind it is. We really haven't had a garden in a couple years and don't remember what squash we had in that area. The BH used the posthole digger to dig it up and we transplanted it.

This is what was left of a wild pink rose. To me it looks like someone crystallized the center. There are still some buds on it so maybe I can get some pictures later.
