BTW, next to bacteria, trash and others (I'd say you can create perfectly ABC weapons just by using water out of this river) there's another danger on the river spree: big ships are driving around the river and I guess the captains of those ships wouldn't expect a swimmer and may overrun him. This man is really like in Kentucky Fried Movie: a danger seeker!

this is my 3000th, my 1.000th as well as my 300th and my 1st shot posted at this site.
it was taken some four or so years ago in the Autana area, deep into the Venezuelan jungle, about six hours by bongo, a sort of long shadow river boat, from the nearest river port.
it shows four indians children, Piaros ednia, on an small canoa.
from my point of view, the reflecctions as well as the face expressions are very interesting, but what really makes this shot outstanding is that the childrens aren't looking at the camara, but at something behind me at my right.
this is my best shot. I hope you all will enjoy it.

Our overall winner this week is Brontz for this great image of a seagull being slightly intimidated by 4 bigger birds. This has strong colours in it and is expertly composed, down to the scary expression on the bird in the centre of the picture, just daring the photographer to get closer! Well done Brontz!

Second place is awarded to Stuboy for his rogue can of lager trying to hide amongst a magnificent parade of shiny Carlsbergs. We commend him for the obvious effort that has gone into preparing for it!
