I've spent the last week at Florianópolis which is an island in Santa Catarina at the south of Brazil.
This beach is called Praia dos Ingleses (English Beach). It's called like that since the 18th century when an English ship got stuck at the beach and some of it's staff decided to live there.

The beach is beautiful with clear water and almost no waves. While the sea at the northeast coast of Brazil is warm, at the south the water is refreshing (really pleasant for summer sun).

A couple of months ago, when I stepped out to the office´s balcony I looked up to the sky and saw this beautiful rainbow around the sun. Later on the news they said it was something usually seen when there are high clouds made of tiny ice crystals.

I stayed at a beach house with some friends for New Year.
On the 31st, when we were by the pool, a butterfly landed beside me. I was impressed by it´s colors (or the lack of it, since it was black and white) but what impressed me the most was what looked like a "08" printed on it! It has to be a sign of good luck, right?
